Segundo de Chomón Flipbook

The Segundo de Chomóny flip book is part of the Pioneers collection from Spanish flip book experts, Flipboku. A tribute to the pioneers of early filmmaking, this is one of ten "cinemagic" flip books, each triggering 6 different animations depending on the position of your thumb!

Each edition also features a two-minutes augmented reality micro-documentary with more information about each artist's life, their background and their most outstanding works, which can be viewed through your personal smartphone or tablet (instructions on the box).

Segundo de Chomón (1871 – 1929) was a pioneering Spanish silent film director, cinematographer, screenwriter and lighting and photography technician, celebrated for his astounding special effects. He was an early innovator of fantasy and animated films, and one of the most influential and fascinating personalities of the first thirty years of the history of the cinema, working alongside some of the major European directors and production companies of the period. The flip book comes with an Augmented Reality feature, that you can visualise when scanning the front cover with your smartphone or tablet: a 3 minutes mini-documentary about Chomón's life, his background and his most outstanding work.
