Olive Burl Backgammon Set

A beautiful backgammon set handmade in Greece by using the art of marquetry. Using this technique each handmade set is exquisitely inlaid with lovely burled olive wood veneer making these sets aesthetically unique and a pleasure to play with. 

The Olive tree is known as the Tree of Life due to its benefits for mankind. Olive wood is very hard, strong and long lasting. Heartwood is a cream or yellowish brown, with darker brown wavy grains. The playing field is a combination of olive wood with wenge and mahogany points. Each set is packaged in a Manopoulos gift box and includes 30 olive wood pieces, 4 dice, 1 doubling cube and a set of dice cups.
