Spartan Spinning Top

Spartan is the first top designed by puzzler maker, Felix Ure. A spinning top designed purely to maximise your spin times. When spun on a glass surface, you'll achieve well over 12 minutes effortlessly. With a bit of practice, you'll be closing in on 20 minutes.

Machined from a single piece of solid brass with a tungsten carbide contact point, the Spartan top measures 38mm in diameter, 33mm high and weighs 76 grams. each Spartan is housed in a presentation box.  The brass is left unfinished, leaving it to slowly patinate and darken with use.

Felix is a 34 year old product designer based in South-London. He has a BSc in Product design, and spent 5 years as lead designer at a high-end door hardware company, where he developed a passion for well-made, heavy, over-engineered products.
