Kodiak playing cards from Dan & Dave are a tribute to the last frontier, honouring adventure and the great outdoors. Inspired by their affinity for Kodiak, Alaska, they drew inspiration from one of their favourite decks, ‘Outing Playing Cards’ by Andrew Dougherty from around 1895, and packaged them in a box reminiscent of old fairy tale books.
The first edition is a limited run of 2250 decks printed by the US Playing Cards Company on a thin-crushed stock. Features include a custom ace of spades, jokers, and subtle modifications to the face cards. The box is stamped with gold foil and embossed.
ABOUT THE BRAND ART OF PLAY
Founded in 2013 by twin brothers Dan and Dave Buck, an early interest in sleight of hand magic led to success as designers and producers of playing cards. The buck twins pioneered the art of cardistry and helped to create an international community of innovative practitioners. by their mid-20s they had developed a globally-recognised brand with a passionate fan base.
