Swinging Sticks Kinetic Sculpture

A museum grade decorative art object. Produced by BTS, this is the smaller desktop 2.0 version of the original Swinging Sticks kinetic sculpture, featured in the movie Iron Man 2. Precision made with with aluminium arms, high grade bearings and a premium quality ABS plastic base. 

The sticks circle fluidly and create a relaxing and almost hypnotic effect. The aluminium arms seem to rotate in contradiction to the laws of physics, changing directions and speed for no apparent reason (A discreet soft click when moving is normal with this version). The Swinging Sticks device works by mimicking perpetual motion using electrical currents and magnetic fields. A key principle in physics states that moving electrons generates a magnetic field, this is what powers the sculpture.
