Aurora Borealis Sand Sculpture

Klaus Bosch, the Sandman, has designed and created his beautiful moving sand art from his base in Lustenau, Austria since 1988. With decades of expertise and experience, Klaus crafts each piece by hand with passion and exquisite attention to detail. 

The Aurora Borealis frame is made from ayous wood and finished with a a patina lacquering, the backdrop is a shot taken by Barne Riesto, an award winning Norwegian photographer. The sand blend contains black, blue and white minerals with turquoise glitter matching the image of a colourful northern light. The glitter particles depending on how the light falls will sparkle like myriads of stars.

The movie range is designed to be fixed on a wall but can be used table top as well. As with all KB pieces the frame is equipped with air holes for regulation and includes a blunt injector (for adult use only) and instruction manual to regulate the air-flow yourself and allow the sand to move as fast or as slow as you wish. Less air creates a faster flow, and more the opposite.
