Zmeyka Chetki: Acrylic Swirl

Zmeyka chetki are the newest evolution of Aroundsquare's  chetki lineup. The name means “snake” in Russian, a reference to the flexibility of this design.

The rounded, convex bead shape allows the beads to flex against one another more easily than a traditional angular design, while at the same time increasing the grip against the fingers to keep the set in control during play. 

The Zmeyka beads are paired with the new Molotok (meaning “hammer”) end beads. The Molotoks throw extra weight to the ends of the set, and feature a bulked up shape with a slight shelf compared to the middle beads, which helps to keep the set from slipping out from between the fingers.

Design is ideally suited to lightweight materials, and it pairs beautifully with the acrylic swirl design. They’re polished for good looks and grip, giving the set a light, fast feel that remains forgiving on the knuckles. The acrylic has a naturally grippy feel in the hand without being overly tacky, while the thicker Molotok end beads give the pieces enough presence to come together with a satisfying snap during play.

The low overall weight keeps them quick and easy to manipulate, making for a lively setup. Acrylic Swirl is available in two colourways: Blue Swirl and Pink Swirl.
