Walnut Ichimatsu Puzzle Box

Handmade in Japan by Hiroyuki Oka. The Himitsu Bako (秘密箱) is a traditional Japanese puzzle box designed to hide small items through a series of sliding panels.

This Japanese puzzle box puzzle box requires 12 steps, has an interior hidden space measuring 56 x 49 x 35mm and is made from North American Walnut wood.

Over 30 years ago Hiroyuki Oka was an apprentice with the expert craftsmen in the Hakone mountains.

Hiroyuki has since been working independently since 2003 and produces his own beautiful himitsu bako pieces of puzzle art.
