Pocket Brass Teleidoscope

Lovingly crafted by hand in Israel by Roy Cohen using techniques originating from the invention of the kaleidoscope in 1817.

At the top of the set of mirrors, a fish eyed lens is positioned which reflects whatever the viewer points the teleidoscope at and creates a new type of visual experience. The familiar is broken into tiny particles that are multiplied and reflected to produce an entertaining and ever-changing viewpoint.

Each 5cm handmade brass Teleidoscope is accompanied by a gold brass chain.

ROY COHEN

Roy Cohen has been making Kaleidoscopes from his studio in Southern Israel for the last 30 years. Since childhood he has been fascinated with bold colds and gemoetric patterns. As an adult he became a photographer and studied architecture and learnt how to depth how to use mirrors, reflections and light in design.A short time after, on his first attempt to create a kaleidoscope he realised that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of my life. This was the starting point of my career, and my mission became to make sure that others would be able to share and experience this beauty.
