Cloudy Nights Kaleidoscope

Handmade in Japan by kaleidoscope artist Chitoshi Takabayashi.

Cloudy Nights is a unique scope housed inside a beautiful body made from dark restored wood. 

Staying true to it's name; Cloud Nights features white glass pieces on a black ground. The pieces within are suspended in oil providing a mesmerising and captivating gradual change in the visuals.

CHITOSHI TAKABAYASHI

Mr Takabayashi was an apprentice in the US with renowned kaleidoscope artists Randy and Sheri Knapp.

After returning to Japan, he began creating his own works in 2009. His art focuses on the use of white and glass elements, inspired by clouds, to create depth, layered textures, and three-dimensional light effects.
