Handmade in Japan by Hiroyuki Oka. The Himitsu Bako (秘密箱) is a traditional Japanese puzzle box designed to hide small items through a series of sliding panels.

This 5 step puzzle box by Hiroyuki Oka is a unique Japanese puzzle box. At the beginning, you have to do something special before the next panel will be free to move. 

The hint is hidden in the name of this box.

Over 30 years ago Hiroyuki Oka was an apprentice with the expert craftsmen in the Hakone mountains.

Hiroyuki has since been working independently since 2003 and produces his own beautiful himitsu bako pieces of puzzle art.
